Mr. Watson told us to do all the even numbers on the worksheet that we had received in Guided Studies. He also said that we needed our vocabulary workshop red books, but no tablet. We are studying direct objects in a sentence. Mr. W. talked with Jad about people trying to make it illegle to smoke in cars, because it wouldn’t be fair to the other passengers. Jad wouldn’t stop talking. Jad’s website http://jadolounge.blogspot.com/, visit it today! We worked on action verbs which today included things that had to do with Yellowstone park, and its geysers. They erupt, shoot, and crouds gather to see them. Jaques answered a question twice in a row. We learned that of the park is a prepositional frase so park wouldn’t be the direct object in the sentence. Cullen answered a lot of the questions, too. When we have a quiz, we might have a few questions from the worksheet we did today, so keep it and study it! We then started with our vocab quiz, first vocab quiz is a week from tomorrow, we will have one every other Wednesday. Our words are adjacent, alight, barren, disrupt, dynasty, foretaste, germinate, humdrum, hurtle, insinuate, interminable, interrogate, recompense. Study up! Pick the shortest definitions to memorize for word for word. The vocab words are on pg 21 in your vocab book. The rest of the words are, renovate, resume, sullen, trickle, trivial, truce, and vicious. Do pages 24 and 25 for tomorrow.
