Class started with Mr. Watson taking attendance and telling us that it was good that we were all early! Then he asked for us to read our jobs aloud and a lot of people told fishing stories. One was where Nicki caught an anchor instead of a fish!! After that, we shared our Journal Responses and some more jobs. Mr. Watson then started talking about science. He told us about how Papa had to cut the blood so the hot blood wouldn’t spoil the meat. We had a couple good ideas about why papa had to cut the fish. Finally Mr. Watson told us the answer. He told us that tuna are the only warm-blooded animals so they get hot and sweaty like we do. So you have to cut them so the blood comes out and doesn’t spoil the meat. Class ended with Mr. Watson telling us a spear-fishing story in Hawaii.
Don’t forget to backup your files and finish the Book review or progress report and chapter 8 and 9 and your job and journal response due Thursday and also to study for your vocab quiz tomorrow!!
